transmission cable to transmission fitting

I lost the fitting that hold's the cable in place on the transmission, my shifter is out of wack,'
I've been using a zip tie to hold it in place, but need the real thing, anyone know
what its called or have a part number??

Verify the part with your VIN, regardless where you buy. The bracket is different for the 6 speed Allison, and changed again for later models.

the part number for my truck is a 19434387 it's the whole linkage, and the only way to get the fitting I need.

That probably explains the availability I noticed, as well as the $7 price tag (everything is cheap, when it's unavailable). It was either special order, out of stock, or unavailable. There is an aftermarket option for about $50 from Cognito, and offered by most of the performance Diesel outlets. Either of them may also be available through the performance tranny builders, but I didn't check.

I ordered a cable assm. from the link....local Chevy stealer ships were $80 more. If anyone reading this thread needs a cable you need you vin to get the correct one, seems GM had a field day with the cable and bracket..

There are several dealerships that sell online at wholesale prices, like the one I posted, among others, such as gmpartsdirect (Flow Chevrolet dealership). They usually get you with the shipping, but almost all the time, the end price is still less than the dealership list price. Most of the online dealership sources list the MSRP (the list price, before their discounted price). I have an account with a bunch of them, and compare their OTD prices, when I need something. Most of them come within a dollar or two, but sometimes the shipping difference can be a lot. They all use the same catalog system, so you only need the first one to ID a part number if you don't already have it.
