Regular maintenance for 1998 GMC 3500 6.5l

i just purchased my new 98 gmc 3500 6.5l diesel

i'm new with the diesel engine, and it would be great if someone would help me.
what type of oil should i use and how much will i need, what type of oil filter will i need. and what other fluids should i change. and what else should i maintain in a diesel truck?

Use an API certified/rated motor oil with a CI or CJ rating. For petroleum oils, Shell Rotella T 15W-40 and Chevron Delo 15W-40 are popular choices - there are others. For a synthetic, Mobil Delvac or Shell 5W-40.

Use AC Delco oil filters, and change both the oil and filters on a 3K interval.
