$3.39 to $3.49 in Calvert Co. Maryland...it's killin' us...
3.39-3.50 depending on the station and this is in NJ. think in PA last week it was about 3.59
I think they just took down the $ dollar and cent's price per gallon and posted
"DIESEL now an Arm & a Leg" per gallon instead.
I pay 3.69 gal here in the Seattle area..........going bio
Well its gone too far here, $4.00 a gal now. and to make things worse its $3.09 for gas.
3.53 today on central IL gas 2.91 per gallon
diesel finally came down in Bakersfield, CA to 3.59/gal from 3.79 a couple weeks ago.
I did have a dream last night where diesel had dropped all the way to .99/gal!! I was so excited. Well it all came to an end when I woke up and reality set in.
Hi
I know how to cheer you lot up.....:)
Over this side of the pond Diesel is
1.09 GBP a litre:mad:
thats $2.24 US a litre
Now 3.785 litres per US gallon means it cost
$8.38 US a gallon...... over twice the price.....
Just filled my tank today and 21 gallons cost $175.98 US:eek:
So think of me next time you fill up......and smile:cool:
Have a good one
Pete:D
you know, now the $115 last time I filled up doesn't seem so bad, thanks!!
BTW, sorry about those prices. All I can say is that I'm glad I can drive ~600 miles on a tank.
last i filled up in Fort Mcmurray, it was $1.209/litre
so about $4.57 Cdn/gallon.........not as bad as it could be, but just not what we're used to around here
As bad as the prices are how much is it necessary to fill up? I know we have to fill up about every 3-4 days and thats on slow times. when we are busy we fill up every day. and to keep the cost down we usually fill up every day while the tank is still over the Half marker. per week it can cost as much as $400 for fuel.
here in michigan it has been at $3.23 for about a month now, thank got it only costs me about $50 from a 1/4 tanks. good luck guys
Here in Tucson the cash/debit price of diesel is $3.19 ($.06 discount) at the Triple T truckstop. In town at the Shell stations it is $3.39.
Nashville, TN it's $3.29/gallon. Costs me around $46 to fill up the bug....but I can drive for two weeks on that! :-) Cost about the same to fill one tank on the truck, but can't go quite that far on a fillup.
Palm Beach Florida $3.70 us gal, oil prices rose when a fire was reported half way around the world at a depot in the UK.
3.79 where I am at
$3.79 also here in northeast Ohio.
Just paid $3.89 today in Orange County, California (SoCal).
Just saw $3.79 here tonight too.
Filled up again today. Prices went up another 10 cents from a few days ago. Paid $3.99 today in Orange County, California (SoCal). Three stations I saw were at this price today.
filled up my loader today 3.17 for offroad ulsd
Hemet, California, about 65 miles from you, Shell station has diesel at $4.19.9 ! It went up 10 cents on Thursday, and another 10 cents on Friday. At this rate we should be at $5 a gallon in another week or so.
What is the explanation for this rapid rise in price? I should think with our economy at or near recession state, there would be some drop in demand for diesel fuel.
I was watching the Pixar movie "Cars" last night where Lightning McQueen and the Porsche go off for a "drive" on route 66. It scares me to think this would be a thing of the past due to the high price of fuel, global warming, and all the rest. Its like an old tradition going out the window and if feels like losing a long time friend.
Saw $3.94 today...
$3.99 here in Oakland County, Michigan:eek::(:(
I'll be spending a lot more time in my Grand Am
Diesel fuel is selling between $3.999 and $4.099 at most places where I am (near Binghamton NY). .. I found a "deal" last night for "only" $3.859
Here in Manitoba, Canada, price is just under $1.15 Liter or about $4.35 US gal. ( my card lock is little cheaper ) if $ is same.
The thing that bugs me, is the fuel you are getting in the US, comes from Canada!!!! and you get it cheaper than we do , WHY ?????
Here in the Yukon, currently at 1.209 a liter, about to move up .05 with our next load of fuel.Heating fuel was at 1.095 a liter with the next load to be higher.
Good thing spring is here:rolleyes:
Hard to calculate the cost of fuel here, the signs keep counting up. I thought it was customers served, until I saw the '$' sign in front of it...
I filled up my drum today, because I could get it for 3.799. I've seen a couple of 3.779/gal but they are too far to make it worth it...
Most stations are 3.95 - 3.99/gal - but that is today at 3:45pm prices.
I know the price of fuel is hurting, put puh-lease don't start chanting the mindless rant that you are being sold on the boogey man of "Big Oil" and research the facts a little before falling in line with the herd.

Why are diesel fuel prices higher than gasoline prices?
Until several years ago, the average price of diesel fuel was usually lower than the average price of gasoline. In some winters when the demand for distillate heating oil was high, the price of diesel fuel rose above the gasoline price. Since September 2004, the price of diesel fuel has been generally higher than the price of regular gasoline all year round for several reasons. Worldwide demand for diesel fuel and other distillate fuel oils has been increasing steadily, with strong demand in China, Europe, and the U.S., putting more pressure on the tight global refining capacity. In the U.S., the transition to low-sulfur diesel fuel has affected diesel fuel production and distribution costs. Also, the Federal excise tax on diesel fuel is 6 cents higher per gallon (24.4 cents per gallon) than the tax on gasoline.
$3.91 In central IL today just feel luck if you only have one or two to fill up not the 135 we fill up daily.
and this BS with diesel 60 cent per gallon higher than gas sucks
$0.60 is a bargain...
Where I live, diesel is now $0.90/gallon more than regular gas. Diesel went up $0.10/gallon yesterday, gas didn't budge.
Albany, NY $4.159... ;(
I paid almost $700 to fill the heating oil tank the other day.
Saw $4.09 last night... Continuing to creep up almost daily it seems...
Filled the truck up today for $4.159 at a Union 76 station in Anaheim Hills, CA (SoCal). The price is up $0.15 from last Friday at this time.
Philsauto - those Shell Stations are the most expensive for diesel (at least in Orange County).
Geauga County, Northeast Ohio; Fuel was $3.69 when I went to work, on the way home it was now $4.09!!! I parked my suburban for the winter to keep it out of the salt, but now I'm really dreading putting this back on the road. There is no way I will be able to afford the fuel prices.
I've been talking about getting a group of guys together and look into starting a biodiesel co-op. That is the subject for another thread.
This past Friday, 14 March, I purchased diesel fuel at one of our local Cenex dealers. It was $3.959/gal. $4.00/gal is not far behind. Hurry spring, need a little relief on the demand for fuel/heating oil (#1 diesel) so the price can come down a bit.
RKL
3.95-3.99$ most places and we only sell one grade of diesel in NJ
