The BB forum is now operating from the new hi-speed server, which is actually located in Princeton, NJ. All you East Coast guys should get boost! The IP address will be different from what you may have seen in the past.

The move occurred late yesterday afternoon, and took several hours last night to debug. If you see any odd behavior, please let me know.

I'm not sure if only I have a problem, have done a couple of times before a search on a topic, without a problem. Today I drew blanks. Anybody else with a similar experience?

There was a problem earlier where some people couldn't find the main web site.

http://www.thedieselpage.com

This was likely due to our re-assigning domains.

It should be working now, but please click on the above link and let me know if it correctly displays the main home page.

Thanks,

MP

WOW!!! There is like a 100% increase in loading speed, that's great. Hope the reliability increased too. Thanks

This is due to the new IP address, when you change IP's it could take up to a couple of weeks before all the routers in the world are repopulated with the new IP, so although for most of us it will come up correctly a few will get an error.

MP, it`s working great down here in the San Antonio area. Good job. BTW, have you ever considered updating the picture of the truck on the home page?

Good job Jim, much better.

Now if I can only dump the modem and justify DSL for my home machine. Nah, I will use that money for DMax goodies.

Hate to complain, but I am in New Jersey and today this new sever is slower than the old one ever was. Yesterday it did seem faster. It is so slow today that changing from one topic to another takes about 3 minutes.Any ideas from the computer whizs?

Jim,

Don't know what to say.... From way out here in Montana, it is significantly faster. On the old server, I could cause a time-out at will by doing a handful of admin maintenance tasks. Since the move, I haven't been able to affect server performance when doing the same sort of things.

BTW - The fastest way to move between forums is to scroll down to the bottom of the page, and use the "Hop To:" box to select the forum you want to visit. This avoids going back to the main page, then opening another forum.

Jomar,

I'm in the process of getting some new material on the 2004 model C/K and medium-duty trucks. Aside from writing another series of articles on the new trucks, I could have a new pic before long for the site.

JimO Well in Ct it is way faster ... ;)

Must be the water or slaughter houses in Jersey... :D

Try cleaning out your cache and enlarge space in your browser ... Defrag the hard drive for performance ...

Mac :D :D :D

On edit :
Could be your ISP .... Dial up is sloooooow ... Switch to cable and you socks will fall off in comparision to speed ...
