Looking for Helms repair manual for 2002 GMC D/A.Are the manuals available on CD?Looked on Ebay but could not find one.Hate to pay price of new one.Are the manuals specific to the Duramax diesel or cover the full 2500 HD line up for the 2002 year?Also are they specific to the GMC versus Chevy?

The Helms manual I have for my 2002 Dmax is 5 volumes. It is the service manual for the complete line of Silverado/Sierra trucks (Chev & GM combined and all 1500/2500/3500 models). There are sections for each engine type, including the DMAX. Same for the transmission. I ordered it several years ago, I think I paid about $120.

I have heard about CD's floating around on Ebay also. I think they come up every now and then.

Thanks OC DMAX,just ordered the Helms manual directly from Helms.Found out that as useful this forum has been for me, that when in a pinch such as needing some torque specs a manual will be the cats meow.I love doing maintance and repairs on my own vehicles and equipment.I plan on keeping this truck a good while,the manual will be put to use.

Ordered mine from Helms also. You'll get this box that weighs about 30 pounds with 5 large volumes. Definetly worth it if you plan on keeping the vehicle.
