I am back with gm, 03 D/A after couple of years with a 7.3 01 ford. I am wondering if adding the edge w/attitude or some other programmer will contribute to the injectors failing sooner or not? Currently at 78,000 mi on D/A.
More Power

We've puzzled over this question before..... It might, then again it might not.
Generally, power gains are had when increasing the injected fuel pulse width. The injector isn't "actuated" any more often or any harder, just for a slightly longer time interval during the injection event.
Fuel quality issues may have a more direct impact on fuel injector health & longevity. The somewhat recent fuel filter upgrade by GM/Racor may be an indication.
Someday, we may have some comparison data on trucks that run an auxiliary fuel filter, to learn more about the relationship between fuel quality & injector health.
