I have a 1995 6.5 diesel in a Trek motor homeand the crankcase vent just goes to open air under engine rather than into exhaust manifold. Problem is the smoke that is visible when standing still.
Any thought on why all the smoke?
Thanks Vic

Unfortunately this means that your valve guides aren't being lubed (not enough intake vacuum in a diesel). I would recommend fitting the appropriate CDR (crankcase depression regulator) valve and plumbing into somewhere between the aircleaner and the turbo.
