Will a 4x4 transfer unit from a 96 80le fit on a
93 chev nv4500 ???

The is one for sale locally, considering buying it.
What would be a good price?

If the transfer case is electric shift, then no. If both transfercases are manual shift then yes. As for the transmission goes, I don't think I can help you. The best thing to do would to be count the number of splines on the output shaft if you have it apart, and measure the length of the output shaft on the tranny and input shaft on the transfer case.

These transfer cases with circular bolt pattern will fit providing the shaft length and spline count matches: NP205, 208 and 241. You'll need to check the t-case to see if has a compatible speedo drive (or doesn't if required).

NOTE: although the NP205 (with circular bolt pattern) is a direct bolt up to the NV4500, but there will be an issue with t-case shift rail clearance and spline length. Advance Adapters (http://www.advanceadapters.com/) has a kit to handle that though, although you'll need to fab the actual shift lever mount point. They also have adapters for the older NP205 figure of 8 style bolt pattern.
