Allison 6th Gear

I hear the new Allison has a double overdrive. Also heard some time ago that the early models ('02) could be modified to get another gear as well. This would help with fuel mileage...currently getting 21 mpg on the highway (Edge Level 1), but would like all I can get.

Yes it can be done and I plan to do it soon. But it will not be cheap and you will need to know someone to get the right programing which might not be available for anything older than and 04.

Keep up posted. Is it just a programming issue? if so why don't the Predator and edge do it? Should be good money in it I would think.

in a older post Greg L said that you will need some OEM 2006 hard parts like Valve body, 2006 shifter handle, 2006 TCM software, so like greg said its NOT easy or cheap! and having the connections to get this work done may in the end be the hard part..... ;) for me I am waiting on a new 360 hp version! :D next month !
