Gator Back Part #

Just over 50k miles on my 2002 D/A. Was thinking about replacing the serpentine belt and have heard the Gatorback is a great belt. I am having a difficult time getting a part number.

I can see that my alternator is stamped with what looks like "105A", I assume 105 Amp.

Does anyone have the correct belt part number for this alternator?

Also, should I go ahead and change out the tensioner as well? No problems so far.

Does Goodyear/Gatorback have a replacement tensioner as well? Part number?

Any tricks to replacing the tensioner?

I have 110,000 miles on my truck still with the OEM belt. I have inspected this belt and I see no cracks anywhere. The dealer tells me that if it ain't cracked don't change it.

Can either one of you read the OE number on your current belt. If so I will cross it over. Currently for a 2002 and 2003,Goodyears catalog shows the follwoing part numbers:

W/Out Vacuum Pump it will take a 4061175

With a Vacuum Pump it will take a 4061182

Sorry guys, I do NOT agree with the dealers logic. If it is not cracked don't change it. I had 40,000 on my 01 and I installed a Gatorback. I would say 4 to 5 years on belts. All enviroments are different.

Remember not all garages carry belts for Diesel applications. Who wants to get stuck on the side of the road just because the belt that drives all pulleys broke?

97300653 UZZ 6PK2992

I will get a new GatorBack and at least put it in my tool box for the road. My current belt looks good, but a spare would be nice!!

You are correct, understand the effective length is 117.5 the outside length is 118.25.
