Intermitant High Idle

My truck has recently started dumping the 1250 RPM high idle. It will hold 850 or 1800 indefinitely but will drop to 850 from 1250 after a few seconds when the truck is warm. If the truck is cool it will hold 1250 for a few minutes, until the truck warms up I think.

Any good ideas?

It straightened back up after I replaced the dual-mass. Guess it mustn't have liked the idle quality and just gave up trying to control it. Funny it didn't affect the other high idle settings.

Surprised it didn't try setting any codes. Glad it didn't set any erroneous codes like some other products have been known to do.

Well HotShot,
now we know we have pretty smart cookie watching the dualmass when we're not looking. Guess as the air heated just a tad with the warmup it said not enough due to it's less density but how did the thing pick & choose like that? Should have taken all settings down, right?
We used the Idlewire to the cruise & have had no problems so far & use it for the inverters more than anything else. Thanx for the info,
