Pulled my fiver up Black Mountain the other day. Decided to drop it in third at the bottom to see what would happen rather than let it lug in forth on it's own. It went to red line with less than full throttle and held 55 all the way up. Felt like about half pedal but can't be sure. Pilot injection never turned off so I assume the engine was loafing. Temp gage never moved. Previous pulls with same fiver and my Dodge V-10 yielded 50-55 in second gear at over 4000 rpm and an increase in temp. Needless to say, I'm impressed.
