Isuzu annually produces more diesel engines per year than Cummins and Navistar (International) combined. Isuzu is currently the third largest producer of diesel engines worldwide. The top two producers of diesel engines are European companies (I think). From what I understand, they produce mostly passenger car engines...not heavy-duty diesel engines.
