I just changed over to a full synthetic and notice a considerable increase in oil temp. 20 to 25 degrees. Is this normal? Could the bypass system have anything to do with it? Oil pressure is just about the same.

What you're seeing is normal. Synthetic oil does a better job of absorbing heat as it passes through the block, helping the engine cooling system. If you have a oil bypass filter system the extra filter will help the oil dissipate this extra heat. This is one of the advantages of a synthetic oil, also, because of the synthetic oil's ability to resist breakdown at higher operational temperatures this higher oil temp is no problem.

Murray, where do you have the probe for reading your oil temperature?

The probe is threaded in at the oil filter housing. There are a few plugs you can replace with the sensor.
