Another Rusty Filter

With all this talk of rusty filters I went to the garage to check my stock. All the DMAX oil filters look good, thanks Greg. All the Dmax fuel filters look good. The 2 Allison tranny filters are extremely rusty!! :(


I guess it's safe to assume if rusty fuel filters are bad so are rusty tranny filters.

Greg, I got these through you. How can I get them replaced??

I have an extra Allison filter that has been stored in my basement for over a year. I checked it last night and it looks new, no rust. My basement is dry and I run a dehumidifier in the summer.

I have six on my self and one appears to have a little rust on it. The others seem to have a protective coating and are fine. I think I will try and clean off the rust on the one since it is minimal.
