View Full Version : $120 Fuel Filter Change
Well I was getting ready to hit the road and was in a hurry so I thought I would have a Chev. dealer change my fuel filter. I figured it was worth the few extra dollars to avoid the hassle. $130 later, (filter $65, labor $55 and $10 tax)I will no doubt do the next one!!

We do them at our dealer for 79.95... but we use 'aftermarket' filter. If we were to use the a/c delco.. that would seem right.

Expsd,
Couple of years ago a dealer in Arizona charged me $145. Compared to me, you got a "deal". Now I always change it myself. No way can I pay a day's wages to a dealer for a 15 minute, simple job.
Don't feel bad it cost me $160.35 at a Chevy dealer in Roseville Mn. 60.69 for the filter and 99.66 for installation. But they were nice enough to tell me how hard it is to remove the inner fender liner a job I did myself in 15 min. 1st time around.

Wierd. Cost me $128.60 + taxes - in Canadian funny money - for the dealership to put on an AC/Delco filter here. That's $95US. I don't feel so bad about that any more. smile.gif
