Did you ever decide if you were going to keep the 02 as a work truck or not?

Sdave, just curious now. One has to assume you haven't been real easy on the LB7 with all of the equipment listed in sig, so what shape is the 02 LB7 after 102,000?

Good to hear.

Smart move with the LB7, I think the LLY's will be much slower for quite awhile.

sdaver, thanks for the reply it's good to know the engine is that tough. I talked with a guy over the holidays that had an 01 dmax similier to my 02, he had 160,000 or so miles on it, said a couple of injuector cup seal problems and a twisted off power stearing pump shaft were the problems so far, but the engine is still going strong as ever.

I'm pretty easy on mine, but every once in a while it spends an hour or so at the rev limiter, but ring seal is really good even at that speed, uses 0 oil between changes and I do run 7500 between changes. After running one Honda CRX 230,000 and another 323,000 before they met concrete wall and front end of some other vehicle, respectively, I have decided to take GM at their word of 7500 mile oil change intervals, probably wouldn't though if I didn't have the secondary filter. Wonder if we have anyone out there with over 300,000 miles on an LB7?
