I just got back from my trip to Colorado...approximately 2200 miles. Here are a few of the stats...

Truck
-----------------------------------
7,000lbs of truck
900lbs of flesh (4 grown men)
400lbs of gear

Trailer
-----------------------------------
10,000lbs of horses, mules, trailer (20' g/n) and gear

I towed the Quad in 70hp mode. I chose this b/c I had other guys driving and I did not want to chance one of them with a lead foot screwing something up!

The truck (pic of truck and trailer loaded) (http://www.monkey.net/steve/elk2003/elk2003_4.JPG) ran great on flat land...the 3 guys with me were impressed with the power. There was a second truck traveling with us (2500HD, 6.0 gas, 5spd, 16' g/n, 2 men, 2 horses, and gear) and we had no problem running off and leaving them. I was impressed with how the 6.0/5 spd performed.

We hit Monarch pass (11,312 ft.) (http://www.americansouthwest.net/colorado/monarch_pass/monarch_l.html) about 2am in the morning...the truck pulled strong all the way up and I stayed above 45mph until we got close to the top and had to back off due to fog and a slick road. I was happy! :D The truck had more to give, but I did not push it.

The only problem on the trip happed about 100 miles from home...the return line on the intercooler came off on the DS by the intercooler. The clamp looked like it was never tightened...the last 100 miles were slow as we basically had no turbo! There were no codes set and the SES did not come on, so I drove based on EGT and it was slow going!!! I could have made a road side repair, but it was dark out and I didn't find it until after I got home.
