If you are running juice, does installing the Banks Big Head make a difference?

Basically the Banks Big Head will allow you to adjust how much boost you want and, in my opinion, a sturdier unit than OEM. It also has a boost guage port built in so no "T"ing a rubber hose. More boost plus Juice gotta be good :D
Be careful when running the Big Head by itself, too many turns on the adjuster and there could be trouble...overboost. I have the Stinger kit but no Juice.

I bought the Big Head, but no instructions. What is the best way to install?
Thanks for the reply.

Man, you can't argue with that offer. :D I believe the rule of thumb is 7-9 turns. Should put you in the 23 - 26 lbs of boost range. If I can find my instructions I would be glad to email it to you unless DMAXALLITECH already has the info. If I can help let me know.

Nothing fancy here, just some info. All these Boost PSI readings are with CA Hot Juice lvl 4.
This info is based loosely on readings I obtained after following the Banks instructions perfectly (9 turns on turnbuckle after sitting actuator flush). Peak Turbo Boost readings were around 35 or 36 psi.
My next step was to loosen it 3 turns (making it 6 turns according to the Banks instructions) and that dropped my Peak Boost to 29.7 psi.
I loosened it 2 more turns (making it 4 turns according to the Banks instructions) and the Peak Boost dropped to 26.8 psi.
In summary:
9 turns - 36.5 psi
6 turns - 29.7 psi
4 turns - 26.8 psi
These readings were from my truck using a SPA 211 gauge, and your readings may vary. This info is just to get you into a ballpark reading so you can avoid climbing onto the engine several times.

We have a customer who has the Banks Big-Head installed and the hose feeding it blocked off. He sees 40 PSI. No problems so far. He also has the Hot Juice with Attitude and Sun Coast transmission. Fun truck!

When I installed my Banks system and 9 turns on the big head I was pulling 26 to 28 lb. of boost and for some reason it would set an over boost code .I called Banks and they told me they did't want to see over 26 lb.This was last year in June and they may have other numbers now. By the way I have a 2001 2500 L.B.
