another mega filter question

Finally ordered mega filter and it arrived in Detroit today, now I have to go and pick it up. Question is with the talk of bleeding this filter and problems with air--has anyone tried to vacumm bleed the filter to remove air??
just a thought and don't remember anyone talking about doing this

You definitely could rig a port and use a Mityvac to bleed it. You would definitely want to be sure that it closed off securely though so as not to create a source of entry for outside air.

I'll be testing a different lift pump soon. Hopefully even this weekend. Bleeeding filters with a pump is really slick.

Time will tell how long they last, but 40,000-50,000 hrs is not uncommon... :eek:

I put a pump on the bleed port of the Mega to do just as you are suggesting. The little sucker was pulling vapor out of the fuel. I pulled it off when I installed my lift pump. So, yes it can be done, but you do get air/vapor pulled out of solution.
