duramax in the van`s

Is there any news from putting duramax in the van`s, a few months ago there were some rumors
about it.

Last I heard it was a no go becuase of the girth of the engine. Too wide. But, dont give up hope. They made the 6.5 fit by moving the turbo to the valley...

I can't see why GM does not still 3 years into the d max have it in the vans. There is no reason for it. I know a few guys who switched to Ford just to keep a diesel motor. My 01 3500 van gets a whole 8-9 mpg's, thats towing milage and bad at that with a diesel truck.

I just saw this thread...and its being worked on..we now have 2 more contracts for this engine..not gonna say who for..but we are expanding our horizons
