For those of you who have had to replace your fuel injectors recently on 01-03 Duramax (a friend recently had to have his early 04 done with only 18,000 km --- one injector went and dealer replaced all 8), does anyone know if GM is using a new or upgraded injector which is superior to the batch of bad injectors they are replacing. If so, is there a part #??

no idea they didnt give me a thing on what they replaced. I think they are giving out no info on what is going on.

YES, the new injectors are actually better and the updates. The ones I have installed seem to be the fix (no repeat failures as before). Before they did seem to fail again but the latest seem good.

Has anyone tried to replace the injectors themselves? I've done it on a boat and it wasn't that big of a deal. Cost?
