fuel computers

This may sound strange to some but is a fuel computer offered on GMC trucks?

I looked at the gmc site and did not see any option for it. Then I read here that a bunch of you Chevy guys have one.

Whats up?? My new 04(gmc slt) is built and is being shipped as we speak and I want one!! OR did I miss something.

Dennis,
The mileage computer feature is part of the Driver Information Center (DIC) but you have to have the extra steering wheel buttons. Its a nice feature and gives several fuel mileage displays. The instantaneous mileage is especially interesting to watch.

Looks like I have the buttons on the steering wheel so I will be good to go.
