What egt temp are most of you waiting to see before turning off the truck ? I wait for it to drop into the low 300 range on my attiude screen.

In general, by the time you slow down, pull off the road and park the truck, the EGT has lowered to a point that most won't need to be concerned about residual EGT.
However, a worst case scenario would be to tow up a long steep grade, then shut off the engine immediately once reaching the crest. In this or a similar situation I'd let the EGT cool. 300 is a good target temp.
The LB7 turbo center-section is water cooled (contains coolant passages). This helps with EGT/temp shut down issues as well.

300F is a good target egt for shut down. This should prevent heat soak temperatures in the turbo from exceeding the coke point for the oil.
