Good to know my uncle bought a 2005 LLY and he has approx. 5000 miles, so far average fuel economy has been 15. He sold a 2004 Dodge/Cummins and it was getting 19. With a few more miles he will prolly be there eh?

Cheers

Mine just hit 4K and had it's first oil change. Getting 18 city 20 highway. I think it was better before the Hypertech and might deprogram to find out.

You guys coasting down hills or what? I get 13 on a good day. I don't ever drive 65, so mine might be due to higher highway speeds.

I was checking mine today while pulling my jeep trailer and was getting 8. Unloaded I was getting 14.

This truck is VERY RPM sensitive. If I keep it around 70 I can get 20 MPG. If I cruise 75-80 it drops to about 16 MPG.

I have a little over 700 miles on my 05. My DIC has been going from 16.1-16.4. I hand calculated from my last fill up and it was closer to 18.

Well, I'm getting 9 mpg. And that's running at 22.5K or whatever the max gross is.

Tad under 8000 miles and still getting 15+or-. Not to impressed because my 2001 was getting 17.5 driving at a faster speed. Good truck so far though...

18.8 from Loyal to Indy. Mostly 72mph except for bumper to bumper stop/go in Chi-town.

I haven't filled up after the return trip, but think it may be a bit less based on the totally inaccurate (performance tuner influenced) DIC display which was indicating near 27 mpg at the end of the outbound trip, and mid 25's for the return. Historically, I always get better mpg from my local fuel additized to the same extent when filling...

31K on the clock, it took a good 10,000 mile to loosen the motor up! crew cab 4x4 with about 600~700 lbs in the bed all the time I get 16.8~17.8 on paper all the time. If your running faster then 70~72 mph it drops fast from there. I have found the trip PC to be far from the truth, some tank fulls as much as 3 gallons off! I run juice set on 3 some time 2 with the low boost setting on 3.
