Couple questions for more power.
Is that truck 4x4 and was it used in the run? Looking at the video its hard to tell. I am guessing from the way it hooked up that it was in 4 wheel. And what did it have for mods?

I don't have all of the details yet, but I heard that this was a 100,000 mile truck purchased by No Limit (http://www.nolimitdieselperformance.com) expressly for the purpose of being modded for racing. It is a 4x4, and it is running a custom program. It's obvious from the lack of smoke that it's also running nitrous. Beyond that I don't know.
I spoke with the folks at Pacific Performance (http://www.pacificp.com) earlier today about their new 300 hp LB7 programmer... We'll be discussing a range of programmers in a soon to be released "Programmer Roundup" piece. It's amazing how far programmer capabilities have gone.

I'll see if I can answer some of those q's..
I talk with the guys at NLDP a few times a week and Jim is correct, it was a high mileage truck purchased soley for the intent on performance use. It is running a full ATS trans. A TTS Extreme and a shot of propane and a healthy dose of NOS were used in that run. 4x4 was used as well. I know they are looking to do some more mods to it this winter, including bigger injectors and a turbo upgrade. I expect to have this truck at my shop for part of the future upgrades.
This truly shows what a huge step we are making with the Dmax's potential.
Thanks for the replys guys dmaxallitech got it right for mods.We do sled pull and drag it.We are in need of injectors we got the infamous injector failure currently and as eric said he will be doing some of the work.We believe the truck has some more as it sits without the 40mph headwind we had on that pass. Thanks to morepower for postin the link for others to view. :D This year will be fun for the Dmax crowd

NL,
What are you doing with the Allison? There are a number of performance options available for beefing the Allison, and was curious to learn more about your trans mods.....
Thanks!

If I may..
The drag truck in the video is using a complete ATS trans with the co-pilot. One of the dually's they have is using a Suncoast LV.
Yes, ATS w/copilot, the dually will have an ATS as soon as we toast another suntoast. Let me rephrase if you are out for Full competition go ATS if your out for gettin by the suncoast will do .

One performance killing aspect of a stock trans and programming is the big drop in power between shifts. This has been discussed in other threads here in the BB, but the felt acceleration can be best described as granny double-clutch shifting a 4-speed. To get best times, the Duramax/Allison have to hang onto the power throughout the run.
The following dyno run illustrates the "problem".

When running stock, the drop in power between shifts is a much smaller percentage.
