I have gotten my Intake Air Temp Sensor up and working. I used a water temp sensor and it seems to respond fairly well...not as quick as the EGT though. I am seeing 170-180 degrees for temps during normal driving. 65MPH, 2 lane country roads, 90+ degrees F, 3-5psi boost, EGT = 650 F. Coolant Temp - 180-190 F, 1000lb trailer. Does this sound right? Wondered if I was getting too much heat transfer from the intake casting that was causing the gague to read artifically high? I have it located on the top of the intake plenum (sp?).
Thanks
Chris

That sounds pretty low for the conditions you spoke of.

What should the intake temp be for those conditions? I haven't had it hooked to a big enough load to get sustatined boost of 9-10 psi to see what the intake temp goes to.
Thanks

Ooops...
I misread the weight of the trailer. I read 10000 lb, not 1000 lb. Sorry.
Consequently, those temps aren't too far off what would be expected. The higher the boost pressure, the higher the IAT will be.
