Now I am confused. I had a guy try to sell me a 5 micron fuel filter to replace a 10 micron filter dose the filter not get finer as the # gets Bigger Like the grit on sandpaper and what is the oem filter?

No it does not. The smaller the finer the filtration.

I Just looked on encarta and it says a micron is one millionth of a meter. now to find out what the Duramx OEM Filter does.

If you haven't done so already I would suggest you try searching the forum for more info on fuel filters and fuel/filter tests. There is a wealth of information on this topic. Many of us have added secondary fuel filters (and lift pumps) based on the results of a CAT study referenced by George Morrison in the fall of 02.
