8 New injectors & EGR valve. Truck is a 2002 with 78,000 miles. The SES light came on & the truck was smoking a little. The dealer stated that it would take 3 days to fix. I did not think this would happen to me. I thought my truck would run great for a long time. The dealer stated no cost to me (FREE). I live in California. I know some of you in other parts of the county that are having the same problems. Are taking weeks to get fixed.

Seems to be quite a bit of variability in order time for the injectors. Here in MT, it's been taking a week or less for the two local trucks I've heard about that needed injectors.

2004.5 D/A with 8,000 miles.
Smoking and stinking with poor performance.
Dealer replaced 2 injectors.
Runs pretty good now but I'm not at all happy with other stuff happening too.
Hums and vibrates in 4-wheel drive at about 55 MPH.
Very annoying and I use 4-wheel in the rain.
Dealer is very protective about what they say and do. Not really open to discussion about technical issues.

Bugsy, There is an update for the programming to repair a few issues with the LLY trucks. I suspect you would be wise to visit the dealer again and see about that.

Here it is:
04 05 6.6 LLY Smoke , Fuel Knock , Surging and High Injector Balance Rates - kw white black idle surge rough noise accelerate P0300 P0301 P0302 P0303 P0304 P0305 P0306 P0307 P0308 miss misfire SES DTC #PIP3129B - (Oct 21, 2004)

Customer concern may be a low speed surge (8 to 10 mph or near 1000 RPM), acceleration fuel knock noise at 1700 to 1800 RPM, rough idle, white smoke at idle, or high positive injector balance rates.

Thanks,
I'm making a file on these issues and when I go back for something I'll bring it all out for discussion.
They don't seem to like discussing technical issues much or sharing information.
