Can a juiced D/A 3500 CC outrun a 6.0 Silverado SS 345hp pickup?
0-60?
1/4 mile?

I may have to drag race my boss, he just bought a new SS.

Any chances I can run with him with juice at level 3 or 4?

If you are running a SRW 3500, and go to level 4 and launch in 4WD Full Stall, You may have a chance. I have tried the Juice, all levels and at level 4, my 8900 lbs dually 4x4 will get to 60 in 8.3 seconds. My sons bud who runs a reg cab 5.3 with K&N, JBA Headers, Hypertech, Cat-Back Exh and Traction bars gets there in 8.5. The juice rolls of the fuel pretty good between shiftsso you lose a little ground during the 2-3 shift just over 50 MPH. Anyway, give it a shot, let him break his in first. After all what is the worst that can happen? He might eek past you, and what? Think he will brag to his freinds that his Bad A** Super Truck beat out a Diesel?

345 hp 8.1 will not touch 90 horse juiced dmax and I don't think a 345 6.0 will be much better unless theres a huge weight difference........0 to 60 level 4 hot on a 7400lb 2500 6 seconds flat, :D faster if you can control wheelspin :D dave......5.89 0 to 60 14.58 @97 gtech today full of fuel.... hot juice

I guess I should have said that I work out of my truck, I carry tools and 40 gals extra fuel so she is heavy. Came off the transport t 6,964# and the rest I take credit for! I am afraid of toasting the Alli with Super Juice? False Fears? I tow my fiver in level 3 (Super Juice 2) with decent, less than 1300, EGT's

My 2500 HD with Regular juice, level 4, 4 WD, stalled to about 1500 rpm, went 5.9 sec 0-60 and did the 1/4 in 14.49 on a G-tech.

Ah, If he beats you, hook up 8k lbs to the trucks and race him again, that will put him in his spot!

That darn SS cost more then my DMAX and you don't see much for the money! It better be fast or something! Or else they will be giving them away next end of the season while they are stacked up all over the country.

I think GM is thinking it will sell better than the PT Crusier and have marked it up accordingly.

The Impala SS will be out in the fall adn I bet the same darn thing is happening.

Good Luck

Ther'e trying to make up for the loss of the Camaro, and these little V6 front wheel drive car things with the letters SS don't do it. (speaking of the Monte Carlo) or whatever it is.
Had a couple of dealers tell me the SS Camaro was being replaced with some kind of SUV, little trucklet hard top convertible thing. Will be ugly as hell I'm sure.
Yes I'm a little upset about it. I think it is a shame that the General only has 1 car now with a V8.

Chevrolet may only have one car with a V8 but GM has several. Take a look at some of the new Cadillacs coming out next year. The smaller one will have a 400hp LS-1 with a 6 speed and rear wheel drive. This is a 4 door not the one they are building off the corvette platform. Also like was mentioned, the GTO will be out soon, rear wheel drive with a LS-1 motor.

The truck that you heard about is pretty sweet, lots of power for the weight. I wouldn't call it a camaro replacement but it has a power hard top and a covered bed.

I have a 2001 D/M Ext/cab S/B 2/wd that will blow the doors off my Silverado SS. Diesel truck has a 90 hp juice and SS gas has Predator programing, Dmax ran 14.92 at 93 mph with no boost off starting line due to wheel spin. SS you can't hold it on the line with the brakes due to the all wheel drive, the engine will overpower the brakes and make you redlight, the gasser will not spin and will nearly break the back off of the seat off when you launch. The gasser (SS) ran 15.80 at 82 mph, did a little retuning on shift time and RPM and ran 15.60 at 87 mph, the air was 3400 ft which is poor, think it might run low 15'in good air, might be better when I get it broke in and get some synthetic oils in it.
In summary, the diesel has so much better pedal response I thought the gasser was a dog, but it's a lot prettier and I love all the bells and whistles. If the diesel had all wheel drive (this is not 4-wheel drive) it would run mid 14 teens in the quarter.
