My wife and I left during the first week of june pulling our 40' 5er. Pulling across Florida seemed to go pretty well as we headed West. Between Oklahoma City and Amarillo truck was really laboring. Called Onstar they ran a check and said no codes, so we stopped anyway in Amarillo and had a dealer check it out he said it was OK. 3 days later we were stopped at the Zuni Indian Reservation in the middle of nowhere. Shut engine down to walk around and when we came back to leave the engine started but would barely run and check engine light. Called Onstar they said we had a serious problem not to move the truck. GM roadside assistance was great as they sent a Flatbed for the truck and a 18 wheeler to pull our trailer to Gallup,NM.Turns out that the wiring harness that comes up the front of the motor next to the Alt. had chaffed through and cut 4 engine control wires and shut down half the motor.
Pulls better now!
