Here goes....yesterday, after 1/2 hr of 130km/h towing empty down the o'l 403, my engine
warning light comes on...truck's runnin' great
like always. [ ...all fluid level's are perfect &
clean - this truck works hard but is very well
maintained...], anyway, by the time l get to Buffalo & cross the border, light is gone. l've
put on 88,000km since first week of April, problem
free. Today, ironically had appoint. to do rearend
oil change & mentioned light? The "Tech 2" is
connected & history shows " DTC-P0234Turbocharger overboost".
Service manager Jay { & for what its worth he &
the dealership have treated me great , DeGroote..
Tilsonburg,...no affiliation yadayada....}, says
first time he's came across this code, & its hard
to pinpoint without checking with the warning light on. Anyone with any knowledge/suggestion's.
Sorry for long post...l just really do respect
opinions here. Thanks in advance, Bill v.

Probably just a false code. I personally wouldn't sweat it until it becomes a reoccurring problem.

Most likely a sensor saw something it didn't like, or thought it didn't like, and popped on the light. There have been various firmware updates for the ECM to correct some of the false codes. Have your service manager check for any applicable updates for the ECM.
