reinstall of amsoil air filter

stupid question, cleaned filter and had filter out of truck for about two weeks,just reoiled(used way to much more than half a bottle. When reinstalling filter ,which side is up the mesh metal side or the rough foam side? thanks.

Screen towards the turbo or up. The 8oz bottle of oil will oil the filter 2-3 times easy.

Allhiway and not around dirt I would say once a year or 20K miles.
