High Idle For 2003/ Favorite Engine Oil?

Can someone please send me the instructions for installing a high idle set for my 2003 3/4 Duramax. Now have 2800 miles on my baby, and would like input on which synth oil is the best.

Which oil to run is up to you my friend, but
do not go to synthetic till the motor is well broke in. I personally waited till 20000km which is approx 13000 miles. Otherwise you may find an oil consumption problem

Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40 full synthetic. Changed to this oil @ 1,000 miles now have almost 10,000 and have not consumed a drop between changes...Then again, I prolly broke my motor in during that first 1,000 miles ! lol....

I agree Toddster, i switched to Delvac 1 with 3k on the clock. Now i have a little over 10k and always measure the amount of oil when i drain it and there is absolutely no oil consumption. I have heard that you can change to synthetic right from the get go.
