Just got back from towing an 8,000# trailer 2,800 miles through California and Nevada desert.
I noticed a couple of occasions on long climbes in 6th gear that the water temp would jump up over 210 before the radiator fan would come on. One time it jumped to 235 degrees on the factory gauge.
The jumps was very fast. Most likely too fast for the actual temperature of the water to be changing. Is it possible that I'm cavitating the water and getting hot air bubbles in the system?
Anyone else have these issues?
Other than that, the truck ran flawlessly.
Thanks,
Gary
