03 Power FIX!!!

My friend went to the local chevy dealer with his 03 b/c of the low power compared to his 02. Well they replaced the accelerator pedal b/c the sensor is on it and it is all one piece. This was last week and he called me and said that it feels like a totally different pickup. The part number is 15177923. If you can get your dealer to do this fix it may just fix your problems, it did his. Well I just thought I'd share this with everyone. Let me know how it goes.

I checked on GM Parts Direct and the part number for the 2002 trucks is 15767491. I wonder why the change in accelerator pedals??

I took my '02 D/A CC by my local shop and had them plug in the Tech-2. It took about 3 minutes to go through the screens but we where able to see the pedal go from 0 to 100%. Its easy to check, if you think your down on power.

I beleive the checked this on his pickup and it read up to 100% but they went ahead and replaced the pedal anyways just to see if they could fix his problems as he was very unhappy and he's a very good customer. I don't know if all dealers are as cooperative as this but it's always worth a shot.

The pedal for the 01 and 02 trucks is for all engines, gas and diesel. 03 uses different pedal and it fits 6.6, 8.1, and 6.0. not sure the difference..
