So your sitting at a stop light the heater kicks on. You have a fire going on inside the heater and someone crashes into you. Does it continue to pump fuel to the heater? Is this thing safe? Necessary even. I thought the high idle took care of the heater problem. I guess I don't really know enough about this yet. Will it keep the passenger compartment warm without the engine running? I guess with 17K Btu/min it would, tell us more GM.

I would think so since a lot of trucks on the road are already using these. They have been out since the 80's. I've got one on my truck and I'm not worried about an accident. One of the best things to have in the North for winters.
