Glow Plugs

My 'service engine soon' light says that my 'relay' for the glow plugs is bad. Do I really need to replace or should I just let it go.
The truck in questions is a '01 Duramax.

Is there just the one code?

I believe I have heard of this before. Had a guy in from CA with a failed relay IIRC...

No Cali emmissions. And as far as I know it is just one code that lead to the conclusion of bad relay.
