Stronger Diesel Smell

I notice my truck exhaust having varying degrees of exhaust smell from time to time. For example, shortly after filling up at the local Citgo truck stop yesterday, the exhaust smell is stronger than the past two fill ups, which were at separate Shell stations.

I have not spent much time around diesels after leaving the farm 20 years ago, so maybe it is just me??

Anyone else notice this? Is it due to various levels of sulpher or somthing?

I think it is different formulations at different stations or fuel brands. I notice it too from time to time.
