engine surge at 800 to 1000 RPM

The dealer can not fix my surge at 800 to 1000 RPM. They say it is normal for a manual to surge, but if it was a allison they have a flash for the computer.
This is crazy!!! Does anyone have any ideas to help me?????

If it makes you feel better my 2004 LLY Allison still surges after the reflash. The dealer did the reflash twice and it still surges. I think they have a problem and GM does not know how to fix the problem. It is rather discourageing and a annoying condition. :mad: :mad: :eek: :eek:

Does it surge when it is fully warmed up? I know with mine it is bad when cold but barely noticeable once it warms up. I think it is the computers way of making sure you don't lug the engine. In fact I only notice mine when I'm trying to run in 2nd at an idle. I've got used to it now and don't even notice it much anymore. :D :D :D

Mine is only noticable at first cold start, but have noticed if I run any of the performance programs it is really bad. I have the LLY D/A and have had the most recent flash too.
