Mileage and Power Going Downhill

I have an 01 4x4 that I bought new. I have checked the mileage on every tank of fuel. The first year it got 19 mt, the second year it got 17 mt, this year is is getting 15 mt. Loaded I have seen as low as 7 mpg this year. I have a hot juice, 4" exhaust, and aftermarket air cleaner. I have pulled trailers with it for 100,000 of its 114,000 miles. The dealer sales there is nothing wrong that he can find and suggests changing the $4000 worth of injecters. He checked fuel pressure, turbo pressure, frontend alignment, and did all current updates. Any thoughts would be helpfull.

My guess if your anything like me ......its your right foot thats the problem! I had hot juice on my 01 and all I wanted to do was use it! turn the power back to 50 or 75 hp and see what your mileage does? runn a good dose of injector clean too!

I have taken the juice off and had my wife drive it. Tried 3 differant kinds of injecter cleaner. Nothing.

Look for smoke or a lope when you are sitting is how you know the injectors are going bad.My milage was not much lower when I had 4 bad injectors.I took the box off and it didn't make any change in the amount of smoke or idle and the truck still ran good.Stopped by the dealer and he told me what was wrong before I could tell him why I was there.

It used to smoke alot on cold starts. Now it hardly smokes at all. Idle seems rough.
