Quick question for you modifiers smile.gif . I am looking at the Hypertech programmer and the BD Power Intimidator for my 2003. Any preference out there or good/bad news on either? I like the units simply because I can program in the proper tire size, not to mention when I take it to the dealer for work I can put back the stock programing so they dont have a cow. Others you suggest over this? Also the price is nice....349 for Hypertech and right now I believe the Intimidator I can get for 300.

Haven't used either of these, but I think Hypertech advertises no tow restrictions - which could be interpreted as more conservative. This isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The OBD II capability and tire size adjustments are useful features.

I had the Hypertech III installed last week on my 04 LLY/ALLison and I'm very impressed. I had it programmed on level 2 and my truck is without a doubt, much faster. I have a hard time keeping my foot out of it. Very good throttle response. Surprisingly, my mileage has not changed. The tire sizing capability was what made me go with it, along with the ability to return to stock when visiting the dealer. I plan on installing MBRP dual cool exhaust this weekend. :D Mac

Don't leave out the Diablo Predator. It can do SO much more in the diagnostic scan tool department. It's more than a code reader, and priced competitively as well.

I have a BD Intimidator and an Edge juice for my LLY. With the Intimidator on level three, and the juice on level 5, I put out 415.3 rwhp at BD's dyno days.
With the Intimidator you can change tire sizes and do diagnostics also.
They put out even more hp on a LB7.

Where'd you see $300 for the BD?
