What does the DMAX fuel filter out in microns when it rolls out of the factory? I suggest looking at the website's I posted in an another topic discussion. I really believe that the fuel should be filters to less than 5 microns to prolong injector life.

However, what does that due to the fuel? ie., is filtering to that small taking anything out of the diesel fuel other than impurities?

Dirty Fuel causeing Bad Injectors??? (http://www.********.com/images/HDT_article_10-10-03.pdf )

Brad,

If you haven't done so already I would suggest you try searching the forum for more info on fuel filters and fuel/filter tests. There is a wealth of information on this topic. Many of us have added secondary fuel filters (and lift pumps) based on the results of a CAT study referenced by George Morrison in the fall of 02. Here are a just a few of the threads on this subject (there are many more).
