wow mpg!

had my truck now for almost two weeks, with 257 miles on it i filled the tank, and set the trip odometer to zero. wife and i went to the ocean for the weekend. we drove the speed limit, maybe once in a while 2-3 miles over but not much. 70% of the time in cruise control and overdrive other 30% town driving. no jack rabbit starts. just drove it easy. got back and filled the tank, took 26.9 gallons, total trip 514 miles- 19.10 MPG. only problem the mirrors would not set with memory between key 1 & key 2. seats and radio would set but not the mirrors. wife was not exited about buying a diesel, but after driving it she sure changed her mind fast. asked if she could take her frinds for a ride. WE LOVE THIS TRUCK. :D

These things are a hoot aint they ! Wait till you install a little black box if you think it's fun to drive now ! Hey, could you post some pics of your Diesel Vette ? Never seen one :confused: :D

My truck doesn't work right with the mirrors either, it won't keep the settings between the 2 drivers.. :confused:

What is this speed limit you speak of?

My speedometer is off, but I think I got 18.5 at 65mph driving in moderate hills.

SPEED LIMIT WHERE I WAS DRIVING WAS 60 & 65, COUPLE PLACES WERE 70 BUT I KEPT AT 65 IN THE 70 ZONE.

Around where I live in CA if you do the speed limit you are in the right hand lane being passed by everyone. Often on medium traffic nights if I'm in the fast lane Ill look down and be doing 80 or 85 just to keep up with traffic. If there is very little traffic Ill be in the center lanes doing 75 and being passed by most things on the road, all doing 90ish+.

Although an unfair comparison, filled up today on my way to work so the engine was nice and warm (1/2 hr. of driving). Reset the DIC and drove the rest of the way, all highway in OD at 55-65mph, approx. 28mi. Avg. read 9.8l/100km (24mpg)! Just over 10,000 miles on odometer, had just changed engine and ATF to synthetic and replaced fuel filter.

BOBCAT69 service dept. tells me no memory on that mirror, so i will see the sales person today. because he told me they had memory. i will let you know.
