Ok
here is my latest experiment

90 hp juice 0-60 avg of 4 6.4 sec. 1050 egt peak
1/4 14.7 @91 mph

125hp juice 0-60 avg of 4 5.9 sec. 1200 egt
1/4 14.4 @93mph

90 hp juice/40 hp pred stacked 6.5 sec. 1100+egt
1/4 14.8 @91 mph

125hp juice/40 hp pred 0-60 5.8
unsure of 1/4 or egt tranny limped

the numbers from yesterday were

85 hp pred setting 0-60 best of 4 runs 7.22 seconds 1/4 mile 15.86 seconds.

while stacking the motor sounded the same as juice by itself....did notice may be a touch more smoke but it was hard to watch all and drive too....the 0-60 times stacked were real close to juice by itsself.........it did seem stronger in high rpms the boost numbers at the 90hp/40 strack were peaking around 32psi where normal for 90 hp alone was 30psi(remember my wg is diabled)didnot notice boost during the 125/40 stack all happened real fast.......low fuel had be on for a while and I decided I better quit and get some fuel. Im satisfyed that the 90/40 is a good stack........especially with the 125 top end(have not tried it yet)...125 hp hot would limp my tranny in fifth before with some abuse but it limped as soon as it shifted with the 125/40 stack........I might try the 90/60 stack or the 90/85 stack later after I find out more about some timing issues.......125/85 is a option that will be explored on the dyno first....I dont think fifth can take it.......hey minivans you better watch out now :D dave

Ever wonder how more power can be slower???

While .1 is within margin of error, the increased EGT w/o increased power is likely indicative of conflict. My suggestion would be discontinue stacking until you can get to a dyno and map out the HP curve.

Also, those stacking (or just beating the snot out of their Dmax's on a daily basis), I'd suggest having AV Lube do a ferrography to look for soot, and big metals as well as fuel dilution and oil oxidation...

ever wonder how more power can be slower, you read my mind.the hot juice ran 5.7 0-60 and 14.27 1/4s when i added 100 hp propane the 0-60 times went to 5.1-5.3s however the 1/4 picked up no time.and the tranny didnt limp.the guy at edge told me the juice sensed the slip in the higher gears thus i was hurting mysely.now i run propane into the bottom of third then go to juice only.oh yeah i think the other reason i dont limp my tranny any more is cause i got the fix...well not really but i did get on odb2 scan tool and now it just defuels like a wild man in 4-5 but no limp yet.im sure it will limp as soon as i leave the scanner home.jess

What speed do you see with just the predator in a quarter?

I hate to continually spam this, but I believe this is important for those to take note:

Everyone, something to remember, and I posted about it in another thread here:
http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=005249

...is that with the Predator, and any other flash tuning device, you will need to get your Allison to go through a relearn procedure, as this will affect your performance somewhat. In a nutshell, I stated this in the other thread:

> Here is a relearn procedure for the Allison
> that you may find helpful:

> Slowly run up to 5th gear, then drop into 1st
> gear, let go of the throttle then stop and put
> in park. Do this 3-4 times in a row.

Anyhoo, if you do not mind, please share back with us if this works well for you, or not. Please retest for performance after doing such as well.

Also, I'd like to see those who are doing all this testing, to please, if possible, drive the vehicle on 1 setting for a few days, then retest for performance again.

I'm going to work on an addendum for everyone with DiabloSport soon.

Thanks!

James
