m34,

Check out Reno Dmax's post for more info:

I got my locking diesel fuel cap at www.AC-Direct.com last week for $6.23 AC Delco part # GT250.

Same cap/graphics as the OEM except for the lock (2 keys included). You have to transfer the tether from the old cap to the new since the tether is not included.

Thought you'd might be interested in knowing that a locking fuel cap doesn't offer much protection from thieves. A thief can drive a flat bladed screwdriver into to the lock mechanism and remove the lock just as fast as you can with the key.

Less knowledgeable thieves may damage the truck or the fuel tank trying to steal fuel. I've seen tanks punctured from the bottom allowing the fuel to drain into a container.

Just food for thought before you invest in a locking cap.

genos garage sells green fuel caps and i think they are also avalable in locking. they are made by [or provided by] ingersold rand [sp?] for their diesel powered air compressors and generators. could be an other option

www.genosgarage.com is the www i think?
