Magnet gone from trans filter

So much for GM shops training their people!
Just a warning to you that have your trans filter changed at the dealer. Tell them to transfer the magnet to the new filter on their work sheet! I did not do this, and changed my filter again today and found out they tossed the magnet away with the first filter. :mad: Going to call the dealer next week and see if they will give me a new magnet! Maybe give some training advice to the service manager for his people working on our trucks!

Give them THE DIESEL PAGE url for a reference manual........We all will train them...LOL
It sure is sad that we all know more than the people we rely on for service now...Except for MECHANICWILLIE of course ;)
The mag is cheap nevertheless........This is One reason I do my own servicing.........

I have given out the DP info to them. Guess it just takes time! :D
Not had problems before but that was with a standard gasser. I wish I was closer to Willy!
I will be doing my own service from now on Mackin, with all Mobil 1 front to back.
