Broken down pipe bracket

While changing my fuel filter and installing the ET sensor, I noticed that the down pipe bracket that conects to the right side exaust man. was broken. Has anyone had this happen and what is GM's fix for it? Thanks for the help. Could not find much about this on the search.

Yep--mines been broken for some time now. Noticed it when I installed my pyrometer. IIRC someone posted about theirs being broken also. They were pretty upset when the dealer welded the bracket instead of replacing it. Havn't noticed any adverse effects as of yet.
