HERE LATELY I HAVE NOTICED THAT AFTER MY TRUCK HAS SAT OVER NIGHT THAT SOME MORNINGS WHEN I FIRST CRANK IT UP THE CHECK OIL PRESS LIGHT COMES ON. IT STAYS ON FOR JUST A FEW SECONDS UNTILL THE OIL PRESSURE COMES UP. KINDA LIKE AFTER YOU CHANGE THE OIL AND IT TAKES A SECOND FOR IT TO FILL EVERYTHING UP AGAIN. IS THERE SOME KIND OF CHECKVALVE IN THE ENGINE THAT MIGHT NOT BE HOLDING OR SOMETHING??????

Not that I am aware of. Mine did this quite a few times this winter at 0 degrees and not plugged in. It can't be that cold in Texas? Maybe the oil level is low but not low enough to set off the sensor.

OIL LEVEL SHOWS TO BE RIGHT WHERE IT SHOULD BE AND APPEARS TO HAVE NO DIESEL IN IT AT ALL. OUTSIDE TEMP IS 60 AVG USUALLY.

The DMax oil filter does have a check valve built in. You did use the correct filter??

I THOUGHT OF THIS AND DOUBLE CHECKED. ACCORDING TO TEH PART NUMBER ON THE FILTER ITS THE RIGHT ONE. I WONDER IF THE FACTORY COULD HAVE MISLABLED IT???? HAS ANYONE ACCIDENTALLY PUT THE WRONG FILTER ON?? IS THIS A SYMPTOM OF THE WRONG FILTER??
With all the hop-ups you put on it the bearings are probably clearanced, just kidding. Put a mnaual gauge on it and check it, the electrics or sending units sometimes go bad and mess your day up.

Mine does the same thing sometimes. no rhyme or reason to it. When I had it in for the one piece driveshaft update I told the dealer about it. They could not duplicate it so they changed my oil without asking. i had only changed it about 500 miles before. When I pitched a fit they responded by saying they did it for free. I said thanks but no thanks. This was maybe 14000 ago It still does it every now and then. A little scary.

JOE G, YOU SOUND LIKE MY UNCLE NOW!!!!! ANYTIME I HAVE A FLAT TIRE OR THE DOOR LOCK BUTTON ON THE DOOR FALLS OFF (IM SURE SOME OF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM TOO smile.gif HE TELLS ME ITS BECAUSE OF THE PROPANE OR DYNOMITE BOX. ----ON THE OTHER HAND I FEEL LIKE THE GUAGE ISNT FIBBING BECAUSE IT DOESNT FLUCTUATE OR BOBBLE IT JUST ACTS LIKE THE OIL HAS JUST BEEN CHANGED. IT DOESNT MATTER IF THE OIL IS COLD OR NOT AND DOESNT DO IT ALL THE TIME EITHER. JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHAT IS CAUSING THIS. ILL HOOK UP A MECHANICAL GUAGE JUST TO MAKE SURE.
