Will the ex manifold crack when drilling and tapping?

I am installing an egt on my 03. It came with a weld in tab. On my 02 I just welded it into the exhaust pipe right after the manifold. I am thinking the manifold will crack with time. What do you think?

I just drilled and taped my manifold yesterday and it went smoth as silk. It drilled alot eaiser than I thought.

I dont mean when your drilling. I am wondering In like 6 years from now if a crack will develop? I know alot of people are drilling the manifold. Has anyone ever had problems down the road?

Doubt it. Most likely a crack would develope from uneven stress on the threads (cross threading) followed by extreme changes in temperature, like driving your hot engine through a runoff stream which was higher than your exhaust. Should not be a problem over time. Good luck.
